HELP FAMILIES ACHIEVE FINANCIAL STABILITY!
Why Volunteer?
Nearly $4 million dollars in tax credits go unclaimed annually in our community because people do not know about them. Volunteer IRS-certified tax preparers provide quality service at absolutely no charge.
United Way of Central Texas and community partners will be providing FREE Tax Preparation to low income taxpayers, helping them avoid hundreds of dollars in tax preparation fees.
Ways You Can Volunteer
- Volunteer Tax Preparer (IRS Training is provided)
- Site Support (Greet and Orient Clients)
- Translator (Help in the translation of materials)
Did You Know
...since the VITA program was initiated 2 years ago, to date it has brought back in excess of $1 Million back into our economy through federal refunds.
....more than 1,000 Central Texans have taken advantage of this opportunity and had their tax returns done by one of our volunteers.
