Campaign
Help us reach our 2009 Campaign Goal-- $1,750,000
United Way of Central Texas holds an annual community wide campaign to raise funds to support our 28 partner agencies that in turn provide services to the citizens of the community. The campaign is led by a group of highly motivated individuals we refer to as our Campaign Cabinet. United Way encourages all businesses and organizations to get involved in United Way by running their own employee campaigns.
The goal each year during the campaign is 100% Exposure! United Way wants each person to have the opportunity to hear the United Way story, and then be given the chance to make a commitment in a pledge to United Way. Pledge donations are accepted through payroll deduction or by a one-time donation of cash or check. We are now, for the first time, accepting online donations.
United Way of Central Texas kicks off its campaign each year after the annual Day of Caring. On this day hundreds of volunteers from local businesses and organizations spend their day helping out at one of the 28 United Way partner agencies. It is a great way for the community to witness the hard work and determination of each agency, and to see first-hand the people they touch each day.
Companies that choose to participate with United Way are asked to name a campaign coordinator who is responsible for conducting the campaign and serves as the liaison between United Way and their place of business.
