Alexis de Tocqueville Society

The Alexis de Tocqueville Society was created in 1972, by United Way of America to recognize persons who have rendered outstanding services as volunteers in their own communities or on a national level. It is a very prestigious organization made up of individuals from around the world who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment, creativity, leadership, inspiration and a broad scope of impact in their community.

It is a great honor for a small community like ours to have a society like this one and it is only possible through the dedication, good deeds and vision of these individuals who have chosen to "raise the bar" on caring.

The individuals from our community who are a part of the Alexis De Tocqueville Society embody this spirit of voluntary association and voluntary effort for the common good. Ths spirit for which Alexis de Tocqueville enthusiastically wrote about.
